Student Exchange Programme (SEP) is one of the main activities of IPSF. It is a mobility programme that gives students from all over the world the opportunity to get to know pharmacy in a different country. The member associations of IPSF organize the exchanges by finding host sites where the students are trained.

From year to year, members of CPSA , with the help of the Faculty of Pharmacy, mentors, pharmacies: Farmacia, Mandis, PrimaPharme, Joukhadar and  Lipa, Student council of the Univerisity of Zagrebu, are trying their hardest to provide Exchange Students with the best SEP experience possible, the same they are willing to teach us a bit of their own culture.

Number of places varies from year to year but is usually around 30, depending on the number of work places we are able to provide for our Exchange Students.

Most of the exchanges take part during June, July and September, but we are able to provide a host site during the rest of the year too.

All exchanges take place in either Zagreb or Split.

Area possibilities so far include community pharmacy and research at University. It is our goal to expand our offer to include internship in the field of pharmaceutical industry and hospital pharmacy.

Accommodation in Zagreb is provided in a students dormitory, exceptionally in hostel if the dormitory is full. Each year we try our best to provide funds to cover the most of the accommodation costs.

In Split accomodation is provided in an apartment or in hostel.

Exchange students doing their internship in Croatia have an opportunity to experience the country from different angles. Firstly, we stride to provide students with the best mentors and lecturers, with the aim of presenting Croatian pharmacy in the best possible light.

Professional side aside, we aim to help exchange students experience the most from Zagreb and Split, Croatian coast and various popular destinations all over Croatia. There are many music and street festivals taking place during the summer months, both in Zagreb and the rest of Croatia (Ultra Europe Festival, INmusic Festival, Motovun Film Festival, Terraneo...), that are always interesting to the students. Alongside with the daily activities, there are also the inevitable nights out. Our students, CPSA members, are very social and always attend SEP get-togethers eagerly. New friendships are being made, contacts are being shared, new cooperations are being brought about, and most importantly, everybody is having a lot of fun!

Since Croatia is a new European Union member since 2013, it means no visa is required for students from most European countries, which greatly simplifies the exchange process.

It is our goal each year to welcome as many students as we can from various countries and provide them with a great experience, primarily from the professional aspect. We are promoting Croatian pharmacy in the world in the best possible light and we take our job very seriously. We want to become favourite destination of pharmacy students and future pharmacists!

To help you get around the towns during your stay in Croatia, we have prepared two booklets for you titled SEP Guide to Zagreb and SEP Guide to Split. In the booklets you will find information about:

  • the city you will be visiting,

  • public transport system,

  • students discounts,

  • some important things to remember and

  • ideas on how to spend your free time.

We hope you find them helpful.
